About Me

Makeup is not a tool meant to make an ugly thing beautiful, it is meant only to magnify the beauty that already exists.

Washing Makeup Brushes

I really hate doing this... And although it's recommended to do it once a week.. I definitely don't.. Oops!

Hands down, the best thing for cleaning your makeup brushes is baby shampoo. I use the normal scented Johnson's baby shampoo. But I think I'll buy a fragrance free one next time, as I'm getting sick of my makeup brushes smelling like my sons curly locks! :-P

- You will want to run the brush, holding the hairs downwards, under warm water. (Never turn the hairs upwards, letting water enter the neck of the brush where the glue is will erode the glue over time.)
- Next, pour a tiny amount of the baby shampoo into the palm of your hand. Swirl the wet brush in the shampoo and watch as all the makeup is cleansed from the brush! (Very satisfying part)
- Run the brush back under the warm water and squeeze out the excess water.
- Leave the brushes lying flat, on a towel until they have dried fully. (Be patient!!)

Enjoy! :-)
